ACS and CCTV Technician

Job Description:
• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role
• Knowledge of IP and analog camera systems, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software
• Familiarity with networking (IP addressing, port forwarding, PoE switches) and basic IT troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience with tools and equipment used in CCTV installation and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license (if required for fieldwork)

Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related security equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing surveillance systems
• Run and terminate cables (CAT6, coaxial, fiber optic) for CCTV and network connections
• Ensure proper camera positioning, focus, and angle to achieve optimal coverage
• Conduct site surveys and recommend suitable CCTV placements
• Integrate CCTV systems with other security and access control systems if required
• Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates on cameras and recording devices
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance
• Document system configurations, wiring diagrams, and service reports
• Provide technical support and training to end users on operating CCTV systems
